I arrived home too late on Saturday night to unload, so the body and chassis stayed on the driveway on the U-Haul trailer.
In this shot you can see the wooden brace that needs to be installed to stop the body flexing when it has no support. Since it’s a single piece, the areas around the doors are a weak spot.
My neighbour George and I lifted it off and into the garage – the manual says “4 strong people can lift it”.??They weren’t kidding – it weighs over 500 lbs. ?Here you can see the body buck that I made specifically to hold the body while working on the frame. It’s designed so that the whole thing can roll over and sit above the chassis so as not to take up so much space.
