I got chills … they’re multiplying
Spent an evening installing the headers (exhaust manifold to my English friends). ?Having done my research I knew they were going to be a b*tch to install. ?So I used a set of stainless steel 5/16″ head bolts which, although having to use a tiny wrench (spanner), I was able to get them on relatively easily over the remflex gaskets. ?Having read stories of people spending hours struggling and having to make up their own tools I think the bolts were worth the expense.
I’ll need to tighten them after each heat/cool engine cycle until they’re bedded in.
With the headers on, I couldn’t help myself – I just had to hang the exhausts and see what it will look like. ?I got goose bumps just looking at it. ?Ignore their condition – they’re raw steel so some surface rust on them. ?Once the body is on and everything aligned, they’ll get ceramic coated.
