On this occasion it was well spent I believe. ?There are anecdotal stories, which I have no doubt are true, of Cobras that have had failed driveshafts. ?With the driveshaft revolving at high speed less than a foot from the occupants’ hips, it can very quickly make shredded metal and minced meat of anything in its path if it fails. ?So, a heavy duty driveshaft safety loop was ordered and installed. ?It’ll never be visible unless viewing from under the car, but I’ll know it’s there.
